48h Neukölln!

What a weekend! I just took part in my first 48 Stunden Neukölln, showing my new ironing bead sculptures and a few 3D pieces at Prachtwerk. I was lucky to have my own room in the basement, which turned out to be a really great space for the work. Six pixel weather vanes and four 3D buildings with weather vanes on top, all together in one room. It was cozy, cool (literally), and like a secret gallery waiting to be discovered.

To be honest, I was pretty shy at first, but luckily Kimya was there to help and act as my spokesperson and agent while I got used to the attention. I’m really grateful for her! Over the course of the weekend I got more comfortable talking to people about the work, and that was a nice skill to start leveling up… I still need more practice though.

The response to the work was genuinely wonderful. There were so many warm, curious visitors, and again & again they called the work “delightful”, “fun”, “impressive”, and all sorts of other nice things. Thank you to everyone who stopped by; you really made it a special event! And a huge thank you to Prachtwerk for hosting me!
