I’m still obsessed with weather vanes, but I’ve been experimenting with some new forms. These new pieces are larger, flatter, and sans architecture. Made of ironing beads, this material is most commonly a kid’s toy, and most creations with them are generally rather small… The sizes of these vary, but most are between 50-80 cm wide & 80-90 cm tall and they contain 5,000–10,000 beads each. They are hung on the wall with two small nails – through the poor creature’s eyes and buttholes.
